I am curious to see the wording of it.
I notice that the Brewin Charity has disappeared
from the body of your report, and no indication is given
that the annual accounts of the Charity will be found in
the Tables annexed to it. I think that a charity for
the relief of disabled workmen and widows and orphans is
distinctive enough to justify a separate heading and a
description, though it may be the curtest, of the work it
is doing.
I have by me some of Hallifax's reports, and see
that two or three lines are given to the Charity under
the heading Tung a Hospital, though nothing is said of
the object of the Charity. The connection of the
Hospital with the Charity is solely to facilitate control
of the funds, and to avoid the appointment of individuals
as trustees; the hospital is a custodian trustee. The
management of the charity, the investment of the funds
and the administration of the income is in the hands of
the Committee.
